Yesterday Apple released security updates for Apple Safari installed on OS X Yosemite (10.10), OS X Mavericks (10.9) and OS X Mountain Lion (10.8). Full details of this update are available on Apple’s Security Updates page.
The update resolves 5 CVEs:
- 3x memory corruption issues
- 1x process state management issue; which could allow unauthorized access to the computer’s file system.
- 1x web page same-origin bypass flaw that could allow information disclosure due to different elements of a webpage having access to data usually outside of their access.
Please install this update as soon as possible. As always, I recommend backing up the data on any device for which you are installing updates in order to prevent data loss in the rare event that any update causes unexpected issues.
