Apple Releases Safari Security Updates

Yesterday Apple released security updates for Apple Safari installed on OS X Yosemite (10.10), OS X Mavericks (10.9) and OS X Mountain Lion (10.8). Full details of this update are available on Apple’s Security Updates page.

The update resolves 5 CVEs:

  • 3x memory corruption issues
  • 1x process state management issue; which could allow unauthorized access to the computer’s file system.
  • 1x web page same-origin bypass flaw that could allow information disclosure due to different elements of a webpage having access to data usually outside of their access.

Please install this update as soon as possible. As always, I recommend backing up the data on any device for which you are installing updates in order to prevent data loss in the rare event that any update causes unexpected issues.

Thank you.
